What? We are supposed to do laundry?

I'm the queen of leaving the clothes to just sort of dry themselves after the spin cycle. And I wonder why everything smells of mildew and feet?

Shoot...that reminded me that if I don't get this laundry done today, it is going to take me all week and I am not sure i want to spend my break doing laundry every day.

You better be careful--the housewife police will revoke your June Cleaver moniker!

evil evil laundry.

I've never done that. NEVER.

Or, at least this week. But that's only because I haven't done any laundry yet.

Ooooh. This happens to me. Our washer is in the basement. I'll start a load when I'm working out then... who knows?? Very scary too. We have towels we've had to throw out. Bleck.

Good luck with it! :)

I found the same thing in my washing machine this morning. It's currently on a soak cyce to give me a few more hours of slacking time.

Been there, done that! Maybe a little Tide w/ Febreeze?

or maybe you should just go out and let the laundry fairy take care of it. There is a laundry fairy right?

I HATE it when that happens!

ohhhhh ha ha. I have had that many time. And it is worse in different places. I really couldn't let my laundry sit in my washer more than a day and it would REAK in utah. But up here in Alaska it can sit in there for a day or so and me okay.

Who can remember to check? If my washer would send me an email alert...

Why? Why? WHY???!!! I do it all the time. We have a well, thank God, so I don't have a water bill to worry about as I redo my laundry.

that sucks!! :( I hate when that happens... try some liquid Lysol cleaner (a few caps full) and a splash (about 1/4 - 1/2 cup) of white vinager in your load along with the reg amount of detergent and fab softner! :)

This works pretty well. AND, if you think you might leave a load in there again (wow that didn't sound good lol) you could always just put a few caps of Lysol in the wash every load, then if they sit for a little bit, a day or two they aren't smelling bad.

the vinager and the Lysol do nothing to your clothes except get rid of the mildew smell.

can you tell I'm an old pro at leaving wash in too long?!?! lol

good luck.

and thanks for reminding me to go to the wash now.
Hugs, Jenn

The rule in our house is you can never ever have ALL the laundry done. You must leave a load or two unwashed at all times in offering to the Laundry Gods. If you do not do this (ie., if you ever have all the laundry done) bad things will befall you. Child puking, diarhea, red koolaid explosions...the gods can get very angry if left unappeased.

So my husband comes back from youngest's muddy soccer game sunday. I was out of town all day doing a book signing thing in DC. Amazingly he decides to put the girls' pennies (whatever you call those things) into the wash Sunday evening. When I get home he tells me I need to hurry down and put them in the dryer. I'm exhausted, I've been driving half the damned day, all I want to do is chill out on the couch. I say, "Uh, why?" And he says, "They're going to get ruined if you leave them in the washer."
Uh, has he not noticed the perpetual wrinkles in all clothes I leave in the dryer for days? And that musty smell that doesn't seem to want to disappear even when I re-wash the towels over and over b/c I forget to take them out of the washer for four days? Soccer pennies left in the washer overnight? Why, that's practically fresh as store-bought IMHO

I never, ever EVER get it all done...and I actually LIKE doing it!

Eeek. This happens to me all the time. I guess I think it'll jump in the dryer, jump out, fold itself, and put itself away . . . clearly, I'm mistaken.

Oh isn't that the worst? I hate that!

I believe the greatest invention I have come up with is a dryer and washer all in one. Who needs the hassle and can remember to switch out the damn clean clothes!

nothing worse than sour clothes.
