It was just down the road,
but felt far away.
Upon closer inspection,
this land's inhabitants
appeared both strange and wonderful.
Monkey business was common
to both citizen and visitor.
Eyes were open
to rodents large
and horses small.
The adventure was great.
Too great for just one day.

WHERE is this one? It looks really cool!
We have taken Abbie to the one in San Antonio, but it does not seem to compare to the one you have close by....
LOVE it!
That looks like a fabulous day. I love the albino kanga. Very cute.
Yay an albino Kangaroo...*woot* I really liked rhett's expression as he looks at the kangaroo he is not sure what to make of it is he...
cheers kim
Oh and now that I am over my initial shock I have a message for blog-stedman.. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!"
I have never seen a baby kangaroo before. That is somewhat unsettling...it looked kind of inside-out. But, the small horse and the kiddo's are very cute. Just remember that one day just one of those boys of yours will eat as much as that small horse does.
I love the up close and personal with the camel! Looks like loads of fun!
Such gorgeous pictures!! That baby kangaroo is amazing. Freaky, but oh, so cute too. Awesome.
Great set. My favorite shot was the last one.
We have never been to a safari type place, but I can't wait to go to one.
Great photos, Holly!
Presh! You really are a good mommy. (Hey, did ya wish for the Little Chicken to be in costume while communing with the other critters?) :)
The kids are cute but I will have to say that baby kangaroo is the cutest thing ever. Awww =)
That looks really fun! I love the camels
Great shots - love the pic of your little guy with the horn (or whatever it is) on his head.
What a great place... and just down the road? Your boys obviously love it there.
Great shots Holly!
Those kangaroo legs are a little freaky!
That looks like so much fun! Very cool place for a family outing.
Loved your pics...looks like the boys had so much fun. Sorry we missed that day! :)
What a cool place! Terrific pics!
Really wonderful pictures.
What a stunning place, it looks beautiful there. I'm sure you all had a ball
Is this the one north or south of the city?
Looks like so much fun!
I once paid extra to see a cabybara at a county fair. It was billed as "the world's largest rat"! Ick!
Safari's should be musts for all schools. Get the kids excited about the animals. Then show them all the wonderful pets that need homes.
Even though my dog totally just vomited 3 times on the floor!
Ah, but that's what makes it fun.
Pics are great!
I love taking virtual field trips with you! Great pics...it's the next best thing to being there. :)
That looks like such an exciting adventure! Your boys look like they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The kanga was my fave :)
you take wonderful pictures. the kanga is positively magical!
OK, can I just come to Texas with my BOY & GIRL and hang out with you? You really look like fun!
That looks like so much fun! That baby joey is so cute!
Love the camels. Looks like a great day!
That looks like so much fun and so interesting. Where were you? Great shots.
How cool is that! We don't have anything like this near us, besides a zoo,but you don't get the up close experience.
My kids say AWWWWWW...
Too cute!
Now you have to do a "Holly's Animated" version of these animals...that would be fun!
Pax.
Those are some fun photos.
Great shots! That first one would make a wonderful painting!
The detail in these photos is awesome. From the hair on the um, furry thing to the snout on the other furry thing to the watchful, pondering gaze on the not-so-furry thing (but oh-so-cute "thing").
Wonderful. We have a safari here in Ohio. Kinda freaks me out when we drive by it . . . I'm always waiting for a rhino to jump out at me. But then again, they wouldn't really "jump"--would they?
Awesome pics! It looks like a cool place.
It's like a picture book - without the book. I've heard that Texas is huge, but I had no idea it included Australia. I have so got to update my sense of geography.
Great photos -- how fun! Love the baby kangaroo.
What gorgeous shots. Love the group shot of camels and the baby albino wallaby. Too cute. What a great place.
The shots are awesome! Which park is this? I went to one years back as a child that was near Clifton, I do believe. How fun!
Where is that?
I need to take my children!
lol
You're such a great mom! They are having such a fabulous time!
