Last Sunday found us traveling to the Texas hill country.
We saw beautiful flowers...
and reminders that we are still in Texas.
We floated down the "river"...
and avoided traffic jams.
There was lounging...
and back home more lounging.
There were balancing acts...
and attempts at heavy lifting.
Then we went around the corner...
to a place where the hokey pokey randomly errupts...
proving some of the best roads are close to home.
Take a road trip to Lotus' place for more pics!

am i first? great photos. hope ya'll had a great weekend....
Great pictures.
Ahh, looks like the Hyatt Hill Country Resort. We go there every summer! We started out once going to Sea World and the kids ended up liking the Resort better than Sea World! We'll head up there in August. Love your pictures!!
You take the greatest photos. All of it looks like fun. But what is this word "lounging"?
Oh - Love me some Babe's...
I went to eat at Babe's once shortly after we moved to Grapevine. I was with a large youth group. I always intended to go back, but never made it!
Lounging--I'd like to get me some a that!
Wow, those are all awesome. I love the perspective/angle on so many of them, and it looks and sounds like much, much fun!
It looks like you had a wonderful weekend! Great shots, I love the one of your son laying on the grass!
Awesomeness!! They all ROCK!!
Babes? What is this Babes? Please share for those of us on the other side of the country ... the northern side.
That looks like Hyatt Hill country (or maybe Lost Pines) ;) We go there almost every summer--so much fun! It looks like y'all had fun too!
And Babe's--some of the best fried chicken ever, yum!
These are lovely. Many of them remind me of my honeymoon!
great pictures!
Hey...fun pics! As a kid we went tubing down the Guadalupe lots of weekends in the summer with my dad. Jeff laughs "You just sat in a tube for hours and floated in a dirty river?"
He soooo doesn't get it. :)
How fun - I absolutely love tubing!
The 2nd flower picture is so beautiful!
Nice shots! My favorite is the one with the pool chairs. :)
Wonderful pictures!! It looks like you had a great road trip! And a great time at home, too :D
Great winners this week! My faves though are the flower ones & the floating down the river one~it looks so peaceful :)
LOL, I love the no traffic jams pic, and all the loungers. Makes me want to go on holiday!
What a lovely vacation! I'm delighted you took the time with your hubby among the beautiful blossoms! Yea!! And the babies were well - that's doubly awesome.
Now, I crave fried chicken, which is not so awesome.... :)
Happy Sunday.
Great photos. Love the flowers!
Love your photographs! You clearly have the design eye. Did you know I used to be a photographer? Ugh now I just do point and shoot. Shame on me!
The best traffic jam I have seen to date! How fun.
Tubing is really big around here right now, but it's very dangerous as the melt off has caused the creek's rapids to become rushing. Definitely nothing lazy about it.
I want lounging and lazy!
It is BEAUTIFUL there! I don't know exactly how I pictured Texas, but those pictures startled me. Gorgeous.
Is that the Hyatt Hill Country? I've always wanted to stay there. Did you hit Sea World, too, or just Schlitterbahn?
Great pictures - I really felt like I was almost on the trip with you. Except without the time in the car.
pretty!!!! (even if it is texas) *running and hiding from my texas friends*
cute pics...looks like fun was had by all!
Looks like you had a wonderful day !
Beautiful pictures. I love the flowers.
I could totally float down a river right about now. HOT.
Thanks for sharing..
So who does the hokey pokey?
cheers kim
LOL The "heavy lifting" rocks!!! :)
Great pics - lots of color! I think I love the "balancing acts" one best! :O)
Oh...your post made me remember those long ago days of kicking back, lolling around in an inner tube down the Chattahootchee river in Atlanta. And I may not be able to spell that anymore!
Great pictures! Gorgeous flowers!
