We took a train ride back in time...
to log cabin village.
We watched a blacksmith
and ran along tree covered paths.
I wouldn't trade my washing machine for this...
but would love an herb drying cabin in my backyard.
We watched the waterwheel splash
which made the mill work.
Fast forward a century and a bit to Lunar golf.
Who knows what today holds...

Tha looks like yall had a great time.
BTW - did I tell you I'm sending my kids to your house for Nirvana Summer Camp?
That looks like so much fun--my kids would like that.
Great photos! What fun!
We're off for an adventure today which, if my camera doesn't crap out, should produce some awesome photos. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
I really am all kinds of grateful that I don't have to wash my clothes in a pot or beat them on a rock.
I'm with Madge. And I'm willing to pay a lot of money. Do you take Monopoly money?
Laundry's hard enough when there's a washer and dryer involved. Guess I shouldn't complain, though.
These were great pictures.
Yep.. enroll my two in camp also... BTW did your kids watch the water mill?? Haven't they seen one of those somewhere before???
Wow, I've never seen lunar golf before... looks pretty fun for the kids!
Hey Spinning,
shhhh...I have my secrets and you have yours...
hahahaha
hh
Mmmmm, did it smell good in that century? It just looks like it would smell good.
Are you all wearing shorts???? Are their leaves on your trees??? I feel like saying nasty words. I feel betrayed. I'm going to sulk now.
Ok, what the heck is lunar golf?
This looks like some good times.
My son would LOVE that...he is ALL about some trains! You have a cute bunch!
Great shots! I especially love the last one. Y'know, I bet no Sears photographer could take a photo that amazing. Heh.
Wow! What FUN week! I loved Log Cabin Village when I was a kid, but haven't been since.
I can't wait to take my son once he's old enough.
That looks like an amazing week!
I LOVE Log Cabin Village! Reese and I spent about four hours there one day. Everyone had gone from the preschool storytime and Reese spent an hour just floating leaves down the little stream.
That place rocks! Loved your pics :)
All Beautiful ♥ the train and the village
What a fun week your guys had
My WW is up
My Little Drummer boys
Love the contrast between the old and new. Looks like you had a good time!
Those are so great! Love the lunar golf pics, especially... such vivid colors!
I wouldn't trade my washing machine for that either! Looks like a really fun time - I like how you turned it into a story!
I love the picture of your two boys holding hands. Very precious. Looks like a great place to take the kids.
Oops, I was signed in above as my daughter. That was really me. I'm Ashley. Sorry about that.
Looks like you guys had a great time. I love the weird colors of the lunar golf. And the last photo is especially terrific!
Fun times! The last photo is my favorite and the funky lunar golf balls are pretty neat!
that looks like a great way to spend a day.
can i send my kids to you?
H, where xactly is that? Oh, and would 4/19 work better for you?
That sounds - and looks - like so much fun!
Splendid, every last one.. I just loved them all!!
Oh, wow. What an excellent series of shots and a story of your day weaved throughout them. Very cool. I really loved all of these.
I was listening to music and reading this post. It fit so well together. When I reached the last photo, it moved me for some reason, maybe I was thinking of my boys when they were little.
WOW! Great pictures...looks like such a fun place!!
Great photos. That last one is my favorite. Fantastic!
What a lovely series of photos from your adventure :) That last photo is just stunning!
Great shots. Love the golf. How awesome.
Love that last shot with your son and gate!
Thanks for visiting my winners.
Loved this last shot!
FANTASTIC pictures, Holly. Hill country? We spent one year in San Antonio and one in Austin. Wish I'd been into photography then :-)
You take such unexpected close-ups; you inspired me when I was taking pictures in my most recent post at the children's park (in particular, the ladybug picture).
Great winners this week! It looks like it was an awesome trip! The ones of your son walking across the bridge & the last one @ the door/gate are precious :)
Great pics! I love the last one.
Great pictures, I love the scenery!
