We took a train ride back in time...
to log cabin village.
We watched a blacksmith
and ran along tree covered paths.
I wouldn't trade my washing machine for this...
but would love an herb drying cabin in my backyard.
We watched the waterwheel splash
which made the mill work.

Fast forward a century and a bit to Lunar golf.

Who knows what today holds...

Great photos! What fun!

We're off for an adventure today which, if my camera doesn't crap out, should produce some awesome photos. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I really am all kinds of grateful that I don't have to wash my clothes in a pot or beat them on a rock.

I'm with Madge. And I'm willing to pay a lot of money. Do you take Monopoly money?

Laundry's hard enough when there's a washer and dryer involved. Guess I shouldn't complain, though.

These were great pictures.

Are you all wearing shorts???? Are their leaves on your trees??? I feel like saying nasty words. I feel betrayed. I'm going to sulk now.

Great shots! I especially love the last one. Y'know, I bet no Sears photographer could take a photo that amazing. Heh.

Wow! What FUN week! I loved Log Cabin Village when I was a kid, but haven't been since.

I can't wait to take my son once he's old enough.

That looks like an amazing week!

I LOVE Log Cabin Village! Reese and I spent about four hours there one day. Everyone had gone from the preschool storytime and Reese spent an hour just floating leaves down the little stream.

That place rocks! Loved your pics :)

I was listening to music and reading this post. It fit so well together. When I reached the last photo, it moved me for some reason, maybe I was thinking of my boys when they were little.

FANTASTIC pictures, Holly. Hill country? We spent one year in San Antonio and one in Austin. Wish I'd been into photography then :-)

You take such unexpected close-ups; you inspired me when I was taking pictures in my most recent post at the children's park (in particular, the ladybug picture).

Great winners this week! It looks like it was an awesome trip! The ones of your son walking across the bridge & the last one @ the door/gate are precious :)
