Blog Vacation 2009

Posted by Texasholly |

I am in charge around here and I am taking the week off.

I have been so busy with life and blogging that I haven't been able to do one of my favorite things as much as I would like...

Visit.

Visit.

Visit.

I am devoting this week to visiting other blogs, commenting, twittering and stumbling.

Please tell me where to go!

Leave me a comment shamelessly self promoting your own stuff and suggesting stuff you know I will like.

Plan my vacation.

I am just glad I don't have to pack - because I would have to un-pack first...

If you would like to join my vacation, grab a button:

A vacation without packing or unpacking is brilliant.

ahhhh a vacation sounds divine...a week without posting and only visiting awesome!

If you need to unburden your soul the confessional is still open at my place

Well, we've got tons of rain and parental angst here in Southern California.

Brilliant idea.

Can I ride along in your suitcase?

This is a brilliant idea.

Enjoy your blogcation! I have been there, it's nice to get around and check out other stuff!

I'm coming, too! Even though it looks to all practical purposes that I've been enjoying a blog vacation for ALL of 2009 so far...

By the way, I ADORE the new design!

You can visit me! But, I don't have anything amazing. Too little sleep, too much bad news. So, maybe you want to avoid me.

It is nice and sunny here in Florida. (Hint Hint) Have a great week!

You already know about World of Weasels and I love when you stop by, but check out my entire blogroll for some funny reads. Especially nuclearfamilywarhead.com and seashoresubjects.blogspot.com and heck all of them because they are that good.

Hope you'll have time to swing by! http://knowyourteeth.blogspot.com/

Oooo, what a good idea --
blogcation! Stop by my place for a big arse heaping bowl of virtual gumbo today if you're in the area. :) Friends are contributing ingredients to the pot, so it's gonna be yummers.

Humm- well swing by and play a little while at my humble spot in the blogosphere. I'm liking the vacation idea. Maybe I'll take next week off.

Unknown said...

You mean I can tell you where to go? Oh, you didn't mean like that did you? ; ) Just teasin' I would never do that anyway! Have fun visiting. I have a good nose pickin' picture from Friday if you want to come see...

Well I'm pretty new to your scene so not sure my lil' stop will make the cut on your blog vacation but I would love for you to check out what's going on at Moms without Blogs at www.momswithoutblogs.blogspot.com

We've had a great blogkind community project going on the last couple of days so head over if you can.

I LOVE this blog vacation idea/button and I'm gonna do it soon like next week. That'll gimme some time to buy some new shoes and get a pedicure.

See ya!!

What a great idea! Is that badge usable anytime? I might have to schedule a vacay.

AnnetteK said...

You can come visit anytime, but there's a lot of freaking snow up here in New Hampshire. ;)

What a great idea. I just take a few days and then blog about how guilty I feel for not posting for a few days. You, however, just declare it, make a button and it feels like a party! I knew there was a very good reason for hanging out here! BG

This is a good idea. I like it a lot and just might have to do it maybe.

You are always welcome at my place!
I hear from guests that our pull out couch is not excruciating painful. In fact, I'd bet nearly as comfy as your orange couch.
Doesn't that sound like an awesome vacation?

Jenni said...

Oooh enjoy your vacation! If you want to stumble my post about my boobs, please feel free!

Unknown said...

Would you consider visiting me at http://rimarama.blogspot.com/? I am friendly and pretty harmless.

Anonymous said...

You actually asked me to tell you where to go? Um, that is a bit dangerous no?

:)

Visit me!
I will serve you coffee!
If you stumble something I mine I will give you lots and lots of cocktails too. Hey maybe I should start with the cocktails then you will Stumble more. Get it? Like Drunk stumbling?

Thank you. I will be here all week.

Sure, come on over. You might have to clear off a spot on the couch to sit, but I'll have fresh graham crackers and juice ready for you.

The first in my thriller series, The Fey, was released last week - it's at Http://AlextheFey.com It will be serialized on the web over the course of the year. It is also available in paperback.

If you like thrillers, it's a wild ride.

Of course, if you're more into romance, relationships and intrigue, there's Denver Cereal at DenverCereal.com.

Lot's to choose from - the reviews have been fabulous.

What a great idea! I'm glad you stopped by my blog.

Yeah, I'm doing the same this week (trying to find some time to finish the book I won here!). But I sure do wish I'd had the stroke of genius to call it a blog vacation and make a fancy button for everyone, though. Flippin' genius!

But you can still come by The Zoo and see what we've been up to. It's sunny and warm...kids are funny...I only have one request: please bring chocolate.

Anonymous said...

Hi Holly! Happy vacation. Stop on by my blog - we can hang out, do each other's hair and watch chick flicks while eating chocolate - and I have an enormous list of lovely blogs I love to read on my left hand sidebar, all of them worth a look and they provide hours of lovely blog reading.

I like the no rules part.

And I forgot to mention on the last post that watching poop go down the toilet can be pretty interesting in this house--really, it can. But reading your blog is slightly more interesting than that. Or more than slightly. Or an lot more than slightly.
