The weather was winter--Texas-style. It was 70+ degrees for several days and then this...

Frozen Berries - feature

Frozen Pine Tree

Frozen Creek

Frozen Leaves

Icicles after freeze

Please visit Sarcastic Mom for more photos. Hopefully it is a bit warmer there.

Those are some great photos from Sarcastic Mom.

Beautiful weather you're having...and the leave are still on the tree. I guess you don't get to rake. :)

Holy Cow DamnTexasHolly, those are gorgeous!!

It has been tank weather all week, until last night. Right now, Nate's building a fire. But ice! Yah, we don't have any of that.

These are great! They're all excellent but I really love the creek!

beautiful pictures. At least it melts right and doesn't stick around for days like snow.

I agree, they're all great, but the creek ... it oozes serenity.

And I really like the pine cone tree. It's very pleasing to the eye.

I love these! I won't be able to take ice shots until March (we always get horrendous ice storms in march)

These are so beautiful. Great job.

I love ice in Texas. Gorgeous for the 12 hours it hangs around. Gone the next day. The best.

Fantastic shots.

This weather is NUTS!

But hey, at least it gave you a chance to get these wonderful pictures! : )

wonderful pictures, glad you shared.

I know the ice storms are bad for things...orchards get damaged,
power lines go down, not great...

But they make for some awesome photos!

Those are some excellent photos Holly. I imagine you were wrapped up in your parka while taking them though. :) We only have about a foot of snow on the ground here, with more coming. AND, the worst part is; our HIGH temps for Thursday and Friday are supposed to be -2, and 0. I think I might just apply for that job in Texas afterall. :)

Those are great... you guys obviously got more of a blast than we did in Austin. We're expecting another good one later this week... can't wait to see if you come up with more great shots!

Well, sorry you're cold (not really...I don't REALLY feel sorry for you on that one, one bit, ahem), but WOW, your pictures are AWESOME! So, I'm guessing they were worth the cold snap.

What gorgeous photos! Wow. I've never seen anything like this....

then I wonder....

Did you wear a parka over your silk shortie and snake boots to take these photos?

Wow! Terrific shots, Holly!

"Ice storms" are so pretty, but oh-so-annoying. Hope you have power and that you can get around a little.

Living in Alabama, we rarely see snow. Ice is more what we get. The pictures are beautiful!
