Backstage at the Nirvana...

Posted by Texasholly |

I have made a big purchase...HUGE! The funny thing is that it does seem huge because I bought these for myself:

I have enjoyed doing my "animated" posts. Who knew what would come of not being able to take pictures at IKEA?

The reason I made the HUGE purchase is that up to this point I was hunting through the boy's craft supplies for markers that were not dried out. As you can tell, I found a blue, lime green, purple, orange and yellow ones. The red one was dried out, but could be used for small things. I needed a few other colors, because here at the Nirvana, we don't usally all dress the same:

Tomorrow I will be starting deep into the Nirvana archives to re-do a few old posts that I felt like I never got right. I am breaking out the new purchase and animating them.

Oh, and I wouldn't touch my markers if I were you...

I think you should have gotten the mega-sized carousel of markers they sell at Sam's, so you can draw your puddles and footprints in the actual colors.

I thought maybe you had to have more red to change the blue halos over the boys' heads to pitchforks and horns. I would need those if I were depicting my own boys via cryptic drawings.

Oh yay! I can hardly wait. :)

Everyone had better be very, very good to you or you will draw them very, very poorly.

So there. :P

'Cause if you're gonna use kid's markers, you've gotta cop a kid's attitude, right? LOL!

I have a whole package of smelly markers that are locked up out of reach of the toddler. They are MINE, MINE, MINE! Have fun drawing!

I love your pictures!! :) You are like the bestest artist... I think I might ask for your autograph before you start to charge for it... or am I too late??? ;)

I really do get such a kick outta your pictures/drawings!! I cannot wait to see some more. :) You have actually inspride me to draw some... although I'm not sure my drawing is post worthy... lol I might need some practice. ah. well at least we have fun!!

I loved the story of the blogging/math homework/need more milk/legos/potty time/pee-pee mess/spilled milk/laundry/new clothes/SUPER MOMMY ... that sort of thing happened just before here... but I'm sooo annoyed at my husband for his utter STUPIDITY that I can't even post about it yet. (lol) Also you forgot to draw yourself in a cape!! you know every SUPER MOM has a cape!! :) Or at least a face mask or something!! I guess your cleaner and papertowels could be considered your Super accessory! :)

Have a good night!

hugs, Jenn

I bought myself a set of crayons and pencils recently. I felt like I was buying porn or tampons at the all male pharmacy or something since I don't have kids or any real REASON to own my own set of crayons. Of course, I look up and notice that the husband has appropriated the crayons - so I shouldn't have felt bad. He'll never find the pencils. NEVER

If you figure out how to implant an automatic electric charge if someone other than you uses them, do let me know...My "desk" (i.e. computer surrounded by piles of paper) is smack in the middle of the kitchen and everyone is under the impression that my supplies are the free-for-all. I'm in search of adequate punitive measures to end this grab-bag behavior!

If you hide them in the oven, no one will find them. Maybe not even you. :-)

I really enjoyed your animated post. I was, however, sorry to see you've lost both of your feet.

oh no, she's got her own markers now...

yes, i am with you on getting your own set of markers.
there is nothing that annoys me more than semi-dried up markers.
that and staplers that run out of staples in the middle of being used.

may the picasso force be with you.

I think we're on for the restaurant you suggested.

Methinks you need to get to Michaels and invest in the really cool, thin and thick, every color of the rainbow set. You're a real artist now!

Oddly enough, I find myself very excited by the prospect of this! Not sure why...I guess I just love looking at your cartoons!

Or perhaps, I just need to get a life! :)
