It was a very good day

Posted by Texasholly |

This week we went to the Dallas Arboretum. It was my first visit. I was a little skeptical about the kid friendliness of what I assumed were formal gardens and some trees.

I was wrong.

It was a great day. It is our new favorite place to play. I took close to 400 pictures and had difficulty narrowing it down because the place is beautiful in every direction.

P.S. Tree climbing is not allowed which we found out after the picture above was taken. The Nirvana does not endorse taking pictures of illegal activities...unless they are super cute.

Now go visit Lotus for more Weekly Winners...just please stay out of trouble.

I love these! Beautiful photos...and I'm even more convinced that my camera and I don't get along. Either something is wonky with it or I have a perma-tremor and can't get a clear shot. :(

What a gorgeous place!

Even if it is a hotbed of illegal activity.

What a gorgeous place, and how could you NOT climb on those trees?

We just discovered the Arboretum as well, thanks to a recent field trip.

Absolutely incredible.

Great shots - you rebel, you. We could print t-shirts: I got bounced out of the Arboretum for climbing trees!

What a gorgeous place! WOW!! And look - a new girlfriend too. How do you feel about sharing your oldest with that blonde haired vixen??

The Juggling Life household followed the same rules for photos. A cost/benefit analysis if you will--directly related to the potential cuteness of the photo.

You'd better watch it Missy...as I recall, this is the SECOND time you've been repremanded for something in your pictures, and you don't want the PoPo watching you! :)

Even though I absolutely abhor squash in ANY form...I'm really drawn to your photo. It's awesome, as is the shot of the mums.

You took some super-cute pics, despite the minor crime of climbing trees. *lol* It made for a great pic though!

Love all of your pics. My favorite is the pink flowers.

We love, love, LOVE the Morton Arboretum here in Chicago (Lisle actually, but not everyone knows where that is), and have a membership and everything. Jenni takes the kids roughly once a month and Danny always wants to go to the 'abeetum.'

Disclaimer: Benjy thinks that he doesn't like it, but we know better. :)

Oh, we found out about the tree thing after all eight of the kids we had with us (only four of ours!) were in a tree, and we see this lady come runninig franticly in our direction.

We could have taken her.

She was nice though. :)

Great pics.

You and blog studman did well. Your boys look like models. Don't be surprised if the Dallas Arboretum approaches you for photos, letting your boys' model the "kid friendliness" of the place.

It looks divine! OK, now how did that cute little blonde girl sneak in the picture?

Looks like so much fun... and pretty, too.
