I have a confession to make. I took pictures after Jeff's magical make-up tour (if you visit the story of my little button, please leave a comment). But they were self inflicted portraits. It was either that or have them taken by a 2 y/o. I took approximately 43 pictures of my face while standing at a mirror. Not one of them did Jeff justice. Not one of them did me justice. Not one of them could be cropped to NOT include my camera. I decided to make that post without pictures because I figured if I said I looked fabulous your brain would make me fabulous...maybe even more fabulous then I actually looked which is, well, fabulous.

Let's assess my work:Alright, not bad for the first shot. I seem to be looking in the same direction as the camera through the mirror...I will re-adjust:
Adjustment made. But now my head is all twisted and what is with the smile? I'll just take another to fix that:
Ya, switching sides with the camera did not help. Hmmmm...let me try this:
Much worse! What expression am I making and could I not figure out the camera was blocking my entire face. You can see the brows, but really.
OK, that just looks like a give up.
Better! The camera is a little close to the head to be cropped out. I will try that again with the camera farther away...
OMG. Did I move? Why am I now facing OUT of the picture? Let me try something radically different...
Experiment failed. Although it does straighten out any PRE-wrinkle tendencies. Here is my favorite picture, but hardly a ringing endorsement of Jeff and little button:
Maybe photography lessons are in order for my 2 y/o...

We MUST teach you how to take self-portraits. Forget the mirror, darling, and just hold the camera out in front of you pointing it in the general direction of your face. Click away and look for the one shot where you didn't manage to capture your every nose hair or cut off your left ear. Or, just teach the 2-year old.

The brows are f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s!

I tried to take a self portrait once for a new hair cut, and found that if I stood infront of a mirror and held the camera backwards you can see in the mirror what your taking the picture of. It worked pretty good, but I never posted the picture because it looked more like a passport photo.
Anyway, nice eyebrows!

HAHAHAHAHHAHA Your brows look pretty though :)

Ha! That's funny! But you look awesome....brows, makeup, the whole package!

I think you look pretty awesome. I myself have a bad habit of blaming the camera when I don't look absolutely gorgeous in pictures - in my deluded mind they DO lie!

Awesome! Your brows, that is. Your self-portrait taking skills could definitely use some work!

Just kidding! Great job all around! :0)

LOL! I let my nine year old program my camera!

I tried to do the same thing a few days ago!!! (So I am ROTFL -- only slightly exaggerating.)

I colored my hair "auburn with coppery-blond highlights" and my girls are calling it "orange", and are NOT impressed, although everyone else seems to like it. I was going to post a pic, BUT geez, I couldn't get a single one worthy of posting.

The brows look fab.

The brows are awesome ... reminds me to go make my appointment. There is just something about good brows that make a happy face (or so I tell myself!)

Fabulous, fabulous...I mean the photos are great, the eyebrows magnificent but I'm really talking about that closet...wow, sister, that's some mad storage space. I'm sooo jealous. Apparently folks at the turn of the century wore pretty much the same outfit day after day and had no need for anything beyond 3 foot by 3 foot space for their belongings. I'm sooo not digging the closets, or lack there of in this new home of mine.

OMG! WTF happened to your eyebrows!?!? Hahahahaa....just kidding! You look STUNNING! But I think it has more to do with just you than any ol' Jeff.

Killer brows, toots. Are we still on for Friday? I'm nervous now. You're too cute to associate with the likes o me.

You show-off, you! *giggling* These pics are great! You rock, sister :)

Hilarious! The pictures aren't bad, but I can see how frustrating it would be knowing what you were trying to do. You should have just pointed the camera at your face and then looked in the LCD display after each to see how it turned out. This is so funny, though.

You, and your brows, are gorgeous!

I need Jeff. And your closet.

You, my friend, need a tripod.

This was HILARIOUS! Know why? Because it's me! I hate taking my own picture. I look so self-conscious (how do you spell that word?). Anyway, this was too funny. Girl, you need to go get a $30 tripod and figure out the little timer button on your camera. Done deal! ;0)
You look good, though!!
Thanks for visiting my blog, I'll be back here again for sure.

Your brows look great! I keep thinking I should have mine shaped but then I never get around to it. Jeff and his little button would have a field day.

But enough about eye brows...is that your closet? So big, so neat, so organized.

Hump! So jealous!

I've been thinking about your little button since reading your post and wondering WHERE I CAN GET MYSELF ONE??!!!??

You look simply fab, camera and all. :)

I love your brows.
I love your red camera!
I love that you posted all those practice shots, it makes me feel better about my inability to capture the mirror self portrait.

You look great AND I love the idea of you showing us pictures of you taking pictures - this is kind of like a documentary about making documentaries. I like not having to choose between whether this is silly or brilliant and have decided that there is no reason it can't be both.

Beautiful shots! The camera in the shots adds an interesting element.
I'd comment on brows, but I don't even do mine: pluck or wax. I just let 'em grow... I'm seriously delinquent in the grooming department.

Wow! You look absolutely fabulous. My camera hates me . . .
